RIH Dual Tubing Project in Ecuador

MARIANN- 24 well, Hilong dual tubing project, is located in TARAPOA area of Ecuador. The artificial bottom hole of MARIANN- 24 is 9367ft depth, and its two target layers are each located at 7141.39ft and 7376.77ft depth. The client has requested the operation at both layer to be carried out simultaneously. Since this is the first time for Hilong to operate the dual tubing project, every one of HILONG-3 fells the great pressure of this challenge. The success of dual tubing project has doubled output of MARIANN- 24 well; from 1000 barrels per day to 2000 barrels per day.


In order to perform the dual tubing project, HILONG-3 has introduced the advanced device,dual tubing hydraulic tongs (with torque gauge and recording indicator), dual tubing air spider and slip and dual tubing air spider elevator. In addition, HILONG-3 has also cooperated with the top oil service companies, Schlumberger and Weatherford, for the technology aspects.


This project started at 16:00 of September 12 and finished at September 30. It only took 18 days for HILONG-3 to reach the 7141.38ft and 7376.77ft depth.


The Ecuador client had great feedback about dual tubing project of HILONG-3. This is also the landmark for Hilong in the international market.
