A Good Beginning of Hilong’s First Offshore Pipe-laying Project

 (June 10th 2014, Shanghai) Hilong recently successfully completed the construction of subsea flat pipe laying section of the CNOOC East China Sea Project, which is a good beginning of Hilong’s first offshore pipe laying project.


The “Hilong 106” pipe-laying derrick barge arrived at the construction site on 29th March 2015, and in 54 days including 12 days of adverse weather and standing by under typhoon, successfully completed 38.5 kilometres of offshore pipe-laying, and created a domestic record in the turnaround of the offshore pipe-laying of 8-inch CRA lined pipe.

At present, the subsequent works of this project are underway and well organized. After its initial success in the East China Sea, the “Hilong 106” pipe-laying derrick barge has moved to the Beibu Bay waters in the South China Sea to commence construction of the Weizhou Project of Hilong’s second offshore pipe-laying project. On 8th June 2015, the first section of the offshore pipes of the Weizhou Project entered the waters, which marked the official start of the pipe laying stage.
